This week I had the opportunity to bake a tres leches cake. I got the recipe from cookingclassy.com, and it turned out amazing.
Tres Leches is one of my favorite types of cake that I don't get to eat often unless I see it in a store. So I thought instead of buying it, I should make it.
I was uncertain about baking this recipe from scratch. After all, I didn't want to be disappointed if it didn't turn out the way I wanted . I am learning not to let fear hold me back from trying new things, so I tried this recipe.
The result of creating my tres leches cake was great. It came out just like I would have bought it from a bakery. The best thing about this recipe was that it wasn't time-consuming, and there were ingredients leftover so I could create another cake in the future.
Next time, I will make the whip cream from scratch to add to the top and some fresh fruit. If you like it extra sweet like me, then go for it!
